Directions

Dispense approximately 1 tsp. into a small dish. Saturate either cotton pad or gauze in product. Apply product across the forehead, down the sides of the face, over chin, upper lip, nose and finish over cheeks. Layered Peel. Each layer must sit for 3-4 minutes to neutralize. Continue with post care products.

Professional Solution with 20% Salicylic Acid is one of the GlyMed Plus peels that is self-neutralizing, meaning it will stop working within a specific time frame.

I read that GlyMed Plus recommends advising the client to drink 6-8 glasses of water after the service. Why?

Because Professional Jessner Solution can get into the bloodstream, it is possible if the client is ill, tired, hungry, etc., that they may get lightheaded from it. Drinking lots of water helps flush the products out of the system more quickly, eliminating this effect.

I have an acne client with Asian skin which I understand is sensitive to salicylic acid. I am concerned about doing the Professional Solution with 20% Salicylic Acid on her skin. Do you have any suggestions?

To reduce the risk of being too aggressive on clients with sensitive skin or younger acne clients, you can substitute the Astringent No. 2 or No. 10 for the Professional Solution with 20% Salicylic Acid for the first one or two times. This will allow you to gain the benefits of salicylic acid without the risk.
